I'm a big Bon Jovi Fan. And Yeah Richie Singing "I'll Be There for You" Live at Madison Square Garden was great. (I have the same movie ;) ) By the way, good writing technique. I have some constructive criticism for you, you never did describe what your characters look like, however you did a good job explaining their personalities. One way that may help with giving the reader an image of what your characters look like, is to already have a mental picture in your mind or maybe even a sketch of what you character(s) look like. Having already created a mental or physical idea of your character(s) it would be easier to describe them. Other than the lack of description, your story was well thought out and your writing style is interesting. I enjoyed every minute of the reading and wish you the best of luck in a writing career. Just work on descriptions and you're good to go. Also, remember to create a way of speak. In other words, people usually sound different when they are speaking than when they are thinking. Example: Spoken Words; "I don't like this song." Thought outside the dialogue; I do not like this song. What I mean by this is simply, remember the way people speak and remember how we think. More than likely we will use a conjunction when we are speaking, while outside of dialogue we for some reason do not. Once again good luck with your writing and I hope I could be of some help.
