I think you're being too down on yourself. I've read multiple other Carter/Sadie bonding fics where they were horrendously OOC or just plain terrible. This is the best one I've seen in quite a while-good job!

Aww. That was a sweet brother/sister moment. :3 They were both IC, as far as I am concerned. :)
The cute one-sided Zarter moment was awesome too, but then again, I will fangirl over anything Zarter. xDDD
But it was still nice how Sadie comforted him. It's not something you see very often in her, but underneath it all, she really does care for Carter.
Great job! :) Keep writing!

This is not awful this is the complete opposite of awful. This is fantastic! And one more thing:
"I'm sorry, stomach. I'll get you some food even if I have to feed you Carter."
"Hey! No you won't. I'm hungry too but you don't see me promising my stomach the meat and bones of my only sister."
Best line Ever.

I think you captured their personality very well and this is good for having writer's block. I can just imagine Sadie claiming to be hungry but not hungry enough to eat stale cheetos, great job!

If awful actually meant really awesome, then yes, that was terribly awful. Also known as, TOTALLY AWESOME. I absolutely enjoyed and loved reading it. It was very cute and it was not OOC, you portrayed them really well. I could just imagine it happening in front of me and aw, it was just really really good. Keep it up, seriously. This will yet again go to my favorites. I love your work. Keep rocking and don't doubt youserlf and your capabilities. You're doing great :) believe me :D
