I'm sooooo happy she decided to keep the child. I knew she would. Mai just has to much respect for human life to do that. And as for Lin...well I was reading and I got to the official asking her out and shouted "Finally! It took 45 chapters but he FINALLY asked her out." I know you said that you wern't going to go into romantic relationships, but I'm really glad you did. The only thing that I think would ruin what's going on in the story is if you have any of the others get together. There are too many stories where everyone is paired up by the end and it just isn't realisitc. So I don't know how much account you take your reviews into but that's just my two cents.

I liked Lin's confession, and Mai's discussion with Naru. The ending at the clinic was perfectly in character and very well written. Lin's last line, "I cannot imagine a child in this world you could not love" is so very perfect for there characters and the story.

ME: OMG *mouth permanently hung open in shock* GENE: I think she means she didn't see that coming...ME: *recovers from shock* OF COURSE I DIDN'T! I mean I know it's always possible, but...HOLY CRAP! POOR MAI! *breaks out into tears* GENE: Uh...there there! Mai's a bright, peppy girl who always bounces back! ME: Yea *sniff* but it's still sad and unsettling! i mean she's just now getting at least a little normalcy back and then WHAM! *claps hands together while breathing hard* GENE: O.O Sooooo...I guess there's just no consoling her...EXCEPT FOR ANOTHER CHAPTER SOON! *pats me on the back as I cry

Is it bad that I have been waiting for this to happen since one of the first chapters? Just little things that you have been mentioning has made me think something like this would happen. The story is called 'Life changes Us' and I would call that a pretty big change. I don't think Mai will get rid of the child. She values life too much to do that.
