I have no idea how I didn't find this before now. I love this story, all of it. There really isn't enough good Valen/PC fic around-a lot of what I've read has been "ERMAHGERD! ER HERT TERFLERNG!" with really nothing of their deeper connection. Fabulous.
I love too, that you encompassed things that didn't happen in-game. I'm a backstory addict, and everything, from the relationship that Ericka shares with Deekin to Nathyrra and Valen's friendship to moments with the Seer was great. Really, I loved the whole thing. :) Well done.

I was reviewing all of the chapters, since I've already read them all, but I'm horrible at giving reviews... I'm dreadfully sorry, and I finally decided to stop being such a procrastinator and tell you that I really liked it, and it had a wonderfully sappy/happy ending. The very best kind. This story was awesome.

*Sigh* a fantastic ending to a fantastic story. That poem was just perfect. :) I'm sad that it's over, but, again, thank you for writing it. It was so much fun to read! :D
By the way, I read your baldur's gate series and loved it too. I had a suggestion for a future if you're interested ;). Maybe Ericka and Maera could meet up in another story; I'd love to read it! But, that was just a suggestion and you are free to do whatever you want of course :D. Anyway, good luck in whatever you decide to do! I hope to see more stories from you! :D :D

Yay another fantastic chapter! :D
This part has to be my favorite part of the game (other than Valen declaring his love for you :P). I loved releasing Valen from his taint because I loved seeing him so happy. :)
Again, great chapter and I can't wait for the fight with Mephistopheles! (I hope I spelled his name right xD)

Poor Valen, he just sounded so miserable. At least he has Ericka to cheer him up ;)
That kiss was just amazing. I am speechless, you really captured their love for each other :) And I laughed when Deekin interrupted.

I love this chapter!
I'm glad you've put more thought behind the mimic scene. I always hated how he doesn't comment in the game, unless you get the dialog fix. :)
I like how you're hinting at Valen's taint coming to the fore. It's a good idea and I'm glad you're incorporating it in your story! :)

This chapter was the sweetest yet :).
Deekin threatening Valen in the beginning was hilarious, I started giggling when I read that.
I really did feel bad for the Sensei, she waited so loyally for him to wake up and you end up having to kill her.
Valen's confession was wonderful, and I'm glad you didn't use the dialogue from the game, as much as I love hearing him say that, seeing it in every HotU fanfiction can get a little old ;)

Your story just keeps getting better and better! :)
Valen is just so sweet and shy; I just wanted to give him a hug. And I loved how protective he is of Ericka, even though he knows she can handle herself.
And (even though I'm pretty sure I say this every review, and it's probably getting old) it was a great chapter!

I liked this chapter, you did that very well.
I have never been good at romance, so I might not be the best judge, even though I read a lot of it, but I thought it was good.
And the ending made me laugh.

Ahh...this chapter was so nice.
I loved it when Valen gave her his cloak, and then put his arms around her. That was so sweet :).
And Deekin is cute as ever while he sleeps through it all.
All in all, another great chapter!
