That was breathtakingly excellent. What a great addition to the episode. Wow, and you write so, so well.
I love that there's genuine heart felt angst but nothing over the top, no declarations of love, just them.

So angsty - yet the sweet and fluffy moments make up for it in the end! I loved it! and it is always a pleasure to read a long complete story, rather than have to wait days - sometimes even weeks - for chapters. Great work, and i hope to hear from you again soon! (maybe a sequel? hmm? :)

Excellant story. I like how you didn't go into the whole "let's break the regs and not tell anyone" when they got back. It seems much more true to character.

Maybe its because I read this at 2 in the morning, or that it's December and I lie things to end happy around Christmas, but I found this so sad. Well written, and true to canon. The characters were believeable, and I really enjoyed it, but there is always that hint of sadness that comes from the early years of the Jack and Sam relationship, and although you gave them a brief moment of happiness you didn't have them riding off into the sunset all happy in love and with a perfect life like so many of the stories tend to. Overall, I loved it. Keep going, I look forward to another. I always enjoy a good Sam and Jack story, and always wished that their story ended a little happier. Thanks!
