for What You Don't Know12/1/2012 c1 Guest42
I'm going to be honest I don't usually review smutty stories. I'm just paranoid that one day a future ultra-conservative employer of mine will somehow figure out my internet handle and see I read it and be like "Well I guess we can't hire this person" and I'll lose my chance at an awesome job. (Though if I'm going to lose my job over something so trivial I probably didn't want to work there in the first place, but anyways it just doesn't happen.) However I love your story so much and saw just how close you are to 2000 reviews that I've decided to don an anonymous account to leave one review every chapter and help you on your way.
So onto the review for chapter one. I love the concept behind this piece because of course since Gothel and Pascal are pretty much the only two people Rapunzel ever encountered before leaving the tower, she would have no concept of sex. Unless Gothel kept some dirty books that she didn't hide well enough or something. ;)
And the fact that Eugene has a lot of sexual experience also fits with his background of being from the "wrong side of the tracks" so to speak. That he resists temptation so well in the face of his growing attraction to Rapunzel is sweet and that he gives into it in the end prevents him from being too perfect of a character. Him stopping the second he sees that Rapunzel is freaking out both prevents him from being a sleaze ball and shows how cares he's taking with her.
All in all, it was a great and sexy start to an amazing story.

You, sir, are awesome. I don't normally read M-rated fics based on Disney films, because let's face it, those two things just seem incongruous. But this was so damned funny and charming and sweet that once I started reading, I couldn't stop. You captured the characters' personalities so perfectly and with such effortless ease, and your writing style had me grinning like an idiot. It's wry and witty, and there's something about it that's almost reminiscent of Douglas Adams. Which is a good thing, trust me.
Also, I suppose you're probably aware that most fanfiction writers are women. I don't fully understand that, since plenty of novel writers are male; maybe it's simply that more men think fanfic is a waste of time. I'm glad that you don't, because you're every bit as talented as the best writers I've seen on this website. The fact that you're a teacher who practices his smolder during class just makes you even cooler.
In short, this was an insanely delightful story. Thanks for sharing it, and keep up the superb work.

This story is hilarious!
I love your characterization of the King and Queen. And I love that you managed to write this story without losing the charm of Rapunzel and Eugene. Its like an adult version of the movie with all the ridiculousness of Disney that we all love. The writing it top notch and I love sarcastic Flynn.
Now I must continue on and read the rest!

You're right... I'm totally ashamed. Bit I can only live with this fact knowing I wasn't the one who wrote it. Makes me feel slightly better, even if only in the sneakiest of ways. Great job by the way. Loving it so far.
