I've always thought Courtney had an abusive father. It just seemed to fit her personality, seeing as though she holds both sexes in contempt she seems to more hostile to men, suggesting daddy issues. Plus, her issues with always needing to be strong and constantly wearing a mask over her emotions led me to think of abuse.
This was amazing. Completely touching, and you really got the perfect perspective of that of an abused child.
