Lovely story! There are so few good Robin Hood fics, I fear. Well done.

this was very, very, very well written. i like that you brought the story round full circle, it made it seem very complete. this is a tough thing to write about and you did so beautifully.

My dear G. Clio:

I cannot believe I have procrastinated so long in reviewing this story! But, that means I have been at reading it yet again winks.

Just let me say, you know by now pretty much all my feelings on this story, and your execution of it, but I want you to know that you have my applause. You worked hard on your vision, and you expanded and edited it into something really good (and something, I think, even you will find yourself going back to reading and re-reading).

Thank you for inviting me to be part of the journey.

I love your husbanding england stories so much and this is no exaption, also if it is really sad and depressing. Hope there are many more HE and other RH stories coming from you in the future!

I think you did a fine job of showing how parents coped under such circumstances. It is so painful when there's nothing to do to ease the suffering of a small child. I can completely sympathize with Marian's attitude about having children, and it reminds me how blessed I feel living in a time when women are not obligated to have them, or as many of them as possible! I think your description of Katherine is hysterical: "Marian could not quite believe she and Robin had created such a well-mannered child together." Geoffrey, of course, makes more sense. LOL

This was so sad but beautifully done! And the death of children was so very common in those times. I think I remember hearing that something like fifty percent of children died before reaching age two. Great story!
