What's a little psychotic break between friends? This was hilarious. I get what you're saying, as a rabid reader, I've thought about trying my hand at writing and was frustrated coming up with "original" or "unique" ideas only to frustrate myself because this fandom has a shitload of ideas already floating around. I've resigned myself to at least writing a half coherent story with a semi believable plot. I know, I know, I dream so big, right? I just want to start off small.
YOU, my dear, have done a fabulous job with everything I've read so far. You are unique compared to other authors will a few stories under their belt. I know it's hard but don't berate yourself. You'll find your muses again and we'll be here to read them fruits when you do.

I love it. I've stopped writing sex scenes for the same reasons. I never thought I'd be tired of sex! My own, I'm not! Eric & Sookie's...exactly as you said!

That was not what I was expecting...the whole idea is really different. Apparently according to Eric, I need to read Don't Find Me. That is now on my list.

so clever! you could call it completed. maybe write another one similar to this down the track (different time/space/character?). i believe in your creative abilities! I agree with you/sophie about sex in stories - it's so often used as filler, when the plot lacks meat. However, it can, and does get utilised the right way by some authors.
Anyway, keep up the good work. This writing gig is hard but you do a top job of it :)

So glad you wrote this! Thanks for saying what has been on my mind the past few weeks. I agree that ff lately has gone overboard the lemony goodness, at the expense of plot. They definitely have a place in ff, it's just that they been done ad nauseum. Unless the lemons are phenomenal I skip past them(not yours though). More authors should make E&S wait awhile(thanks Janet) before doing the horizontal mambo.
This story is kinda like a "Inside the Fan-Fiction Author's Studio". Please see if Sookie, Pam and maybe a bad guy (Felipe or Victor) will come to visit.
Also please give Eric another chappy to finish his thoughts on the writing process.

funny chapter thanks :) regarding a smarter sookie, maybe you could re-write it under a new title, the way you would do it now that you have a few more stories under your belt. I would definitely read it. all I ask is that you don't delete the original because I would like to come back and read it again in the future :D

I hope Eric will give you a bit of inspiration for Destiny Calling. I'd love a bit more nerdy Eric and honestly Eric and Sookie just don't talk dirty often enough in the fanfiction universe. I'd be happy without the sex scenes (if you don't feel like writing them) if you'll replace them with some creative conversations both in person and on the phone. I especially love the text conversations that some authors write. It's a nice variation. You are right that it's hard to find an original sex scene after a while.
