He needs to leave (but then that would end the story sooner, which the readers don't want)

Everything is so jumbled together that it's difficult to read. I'm so into this story that I didn't pay much attention to the single spacing before (usually it annoys me)
Instead of having everything as one giant paragraph, please double space and use the enter key on your keyboard after each paragraph.
It will be a lot easier for your readers' eyes.
Gale deserved that bloody nose!
