Dear Shirebound: A tale as excellent as it is brief! This chapter is very descriptive, and sounds like just the sort of thing Gandalf would do. That was supposed to be his main mission anyway, as I understand it-to kindle resistance to Sauron in the hearts and minds of all those who might resist the Dark Lord. This story is a great example of that. It is a well-written, very hopeful tale that I very much enjoyed reading. Thanks for writing and posting it. Sincerely, Darkover

This was lovely! I really do need to re-read my LOTR's ... it's been too long.

A cute idea! Hope Frodo doesn't become so fond of the flavors that he takes too much! The dialogue was as good as the flavors. Thanks for writing and posting this. Sincerely, Darkover

Dear Shirebound: I very much enjoyed this! A very good, nicely succinct tale that still does a fine job of indicating that the King and his new Steward and going to get along well. I particularly liked Faramir's final line to Aragorn. Well done. Sincerely, Darkover

OMG I would pay good money for a shot of the 4 hobbits in that seat!

Huh. What we got at camp was "make a snowman, give it a scarf, and stick a carrot in."

I'm not dead! (though, I am having login troubles at the moment) These chapter/story alerts have been sitting in my inbox for months and I finally got round to reading them all.

And like always, I'm so glad I did. They're all lovely and sweet. I especially liked the fourth one. :)

Well done, as always. I applaud and bow for probably the thousandth time, haha. :D

Awwwww! Wee Sam... and Wee Legolas! What a cute little thought this is!

Awwww SO SWEET! I love how you show that despite their differences, the races of ME were, in essence, taught the same lessons. Who knew a young coney and a terrifying balrog could share a common purpose; teaching the young to tie. LOVELY!

Dear Shirebound: I very much enjoyed this tale. Clearly, even when learning the same thing, the rearing of an Elven warrior is quite different from the rearing of a hobbit from the Shire! Thank you for writing and posting this fine story. Sincerely, Darkover

That's a very clever way to capture the cultural differences - and similarities.

Lard, oh my goodness...!

Now, that must have been a delightful letter to receive. ;-)

Lovely first line, and a sweet snippet altogether.

Oh dear, I wonder where and when this happened!
