I love the mental image of Thresh carrying Rue out, because I always pictured her as absolutely tiny for a twelve yo and Thresh as an enormous guy. So sad and so sweet :)

The numbered format is very effective, it seems, for these type of genres. This was nearly as sad as the events in the actual book. Maybe even more, because Rue, Peeta, and Katniss seemed like such a happy family...

My god, this is wonderful! I'm torn between this ending and Collins', wanting all four of them to win. I think your ending wins in the encd though, I love Rue too much to let her die 3 Keep writing, you are an amazing writer!

This is really very good. Really very good. Gods I felt for Foxface and even more for Katniss and Peeta. I was with Rue, why can't they all go home? But this worked and it was powerful and it could definitely set off a rebellion.

Touching. Very touching and sad. And I can see this as a possible ending, too, if Rue had still been alive. I loved this.
I still feel like it wouldn't have been the same, though, if Rue had been made the Mockingjay.
