Fantastic chapter it must be quite a shock for Thane to wake up and realize his whole male ego is in fact fake and he's a woman in reality. The talk between Avalon and Naja was so damn funny I was trying hard not to laugh but I gave in and laughed along at their amusing topic.

Wow mind blowing chapter, really loved the line at the end about the green being paralyzing clearly when the real face is shown to Avalon its completely thrown her. Also fascinating idea about the true gender clearly ether the Matrix is malfunctioning or Thane can already control her self image but with out realizing it.

Nice addition and while I still don't know about the world, the way you describe it really bring it to life. I want to know more about it, and then at the end the green eyes line, wonderful. Really enjoying this story, don't wait too long for the next chapter :D.

Ok.. this line made me laugh.. "to escape miss dark and deadly and miss blonde and bombshell." Funny use of words ;).
Chapter was interesting though. I can't help but root for the red pill. I wanna know what this Matrix is too. Of course I could go see the movies, but that would be less time for FF ;).
I can really see the characters developing though. Avalon following orders, being someone's hired hand. Figure that'll blow up on them sooner or later. And then Thane. Character getting stabbed, yet still maintaining her sense of sarcasm and humor. Please continue this soon.:)

I feel rather sorry for Thane he gets his ** kicked stabbed and treated like the runt of the litter all in one chapter. Saying that though this was a bloody ace chapter hands down and I'm on the edge of my seat looking forward to more. I get the impression that no one has even realized his real gender that is unless the gender they are seeing is a glitch, but I have a feeling all is going to come to a head in the next chapter. What I like most is that story takes from the Matrix but it does not copy scene for scene it has a life all its own and goes in its own direction using the uber Xena characters.

Gave me a nasty jolt when Avalon started to do her thing;but thankfully it wasn’t as terminal as I at first thought [where would the story have been then?:)]. Xena/Avalon is certainly dancing with her dark side. The scene-setting and atmosphere is well-handled. And poor Thane, still in a fog about the whole affair; except that it gets more dangerous for her/him by the second. Thane’s talk with Morrigan hasn’t helped to clarify matters. Looks like Thane is about to go through a life-changing event. I like experiencing the action from inside each character’s head. Good stuff.

Thane is a bundle of nerves about his/her position and feelings. His nervousness is well described. Thane’s reaction to Avalon’s picture is interesting. Then Avalon’s real appearance, like Catwoman, and her own somewhat negative appraisal of Thane. I like the change between first-person and third-person narrative; it gives the story an added subtlety. And what was Avalon doing with her knife at the close? It’s an enthralling tale so far. :)

that was really good, at first i was thinking Xena and matrix...heh? but wow that was awesome, i love your discriptive language, ecpacialy at the start, you should really look into wrigting a novel or somthing, i'm trying to myself, just a sugestion :]

Ohhh.. talk about an interesting first contact. What a way for them to meet for the 1st time. I like the Xena-ness in Avalon, climbing the wall and confronting Thane. I'm also intrigued by your comment about Thane not really being a man... at least that clears up some confusion.. lol.. woot! Now... I'm very curious to see what Avalon was doing to Thane in the last bit.. it doesn't look good.

Disguised as a guy, its just she seemed to know where to aim her knife right in the last second. Loved the tension in this chapter it feels like the both of them are tense in each others presence. Can't wait for more :)

Ok... I admit I was a little confused, but the character legend at the bottom was hugely helpful! Although I did pin Thane and Agent Smith correctly.
Over all, fascinating. I'm enjoying the romp in this word (for I've never seen any of the Matrix stuff- maybe I should.. lol) But never-the-less, the character feel real and I'm enjoying what you are doing with them.
