Wow! I have to say that you really struck a chord with this one. This is exactly how I pictured Castle back at the loft alone and it broke my heart. I think you are totally correct that he would have taken some time to look at the world around him and give thanks, but I also agree that the hurt and rejection from Kate would have taken its toll. You gave voice to the situation quite well. Now I want the show's writers to FIX IT!

OMG. This breaks my heart. I can see this, though, after Countdown. I wanted to cry, too. I hope you'll continue this and have Kate come to her senses. Rick is so in love with her.
