To the reviewer about Moreta being HAD-word of Anne is in the far future from Moreta's time, between it being a long time past and deliberate obfuscation on the part of Moreta's contemporaries (taking her off Holth in the ballad and putting her on Orlith, for one) they're confusing her with Alessan and Nerilka's daughter Moreta, who becomes Weyrwoman of Benden and who is HAD (so far as we've seen with the exception of Brekke, and discounting Lorana as that's Todd's books, the HADs are of the Ruathan bloodline-Torene "marries" into it via M'hall, Moreta II is Alessan's daughter, Lessa is Alessan's descendant, and Aramina is her cousin.)
And my only letdown with this story was not seeing Smola get the locket, or an epilogue showing whether Andoya and Vikna (or their kids?) met up with the Weyr at their next checkpoint twenty-five turns later.!

How true, on history, been busy in real and much more. Turns not years but then some trader do carry goods that don't have a craft stamp on them, and there are many smalller crafthalls around.

Ooh, this is excellent!
Much enjoyed...and it would be odd if the Weyrfolk hadn't encountered anyone making use of shelter or foraging, what with all the times they stopped, in every Weyr...

I don't know who he is, but I like him.
I noticed that someone else wrote that Moreta couldn't hear all dragons, but I know that in "Dragonflight" they think she could. Since this is set some time after Moreta's ride, I think it's plausible to say that as those who knew Moreta passed away, the lines became blurred and people began to believe that she could hear all dragons. I for one like that little detail - it shows that the passage of time affects everything, even the history that th Harpers strive to keep true.
I think I like this story. I'm not sure exactly where it's going, but it's well written and edited and I'm willing to stick with it to see where it comes out.

Actually, we learned in Moreta: Dragonlady of Pern, that she couldn't hear any dragons. Just saying. This is pretty good.

Glad I could help out, this is well written, good inaction, and he who ever he is treating her kindly.

Bees hummed and buzzed up here, They were not able to compete with the native pollenters The colonists did take them but they didn't survive [Dragonfire] So other native pollenters were used, year on Pern is called a turn, over all well written, good inaction, and background.
