"You were scared," Sam said slowly, and it was as though he was putting something together in his head. "Not the first few times you called, but after that. Someone told you something, didn't they? Younger sisters and younger brothers. Dying."
"Not all of them dying, but yeah. How do you know? Did you find out anything?"
"Timothy Munroe caused a rift between his high school sweetheart, Mildred Winslow, and her younger sister Abigail. They stopped speaking to each other. Abigail died a few days before Timothy. It went down in the records as a hiking accident but her grandmother thinks it was suicide."
WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL casefic, the twist is original and surprising, and omg the schmoop. I... You... guuuuhhhhh.

Fantastic story! I thought you did a great job showing Sam's doubts and why he would have those doubts, while showing how much Dean cares for Sam. I also loved how you ended the story with the brothers having a chick flick moment. Thanks for sharing!

I actively seek out stories where Dean forgoes the 'no chick-flick' rule. Did you not realize that this is the third season in which the boys have not called one another their tough-guy names? (jerk/**) I was really hoping for such a moment at the latter part of this season, but the boys' souls are still raw from the apocalyptic near-miss, Lucifer hijacking Sam and now the season finale. There's not enough TV time for the writers to slow the story down long enough to have those brotherly moments-although, they certainly don't seem to have any problems writing in any threats Dean might make toward Sam. .
Rough season. Really rough. But at least Dean has his little brother back, in one piece.
I am seriously looking forward to another of your stories, Jedi! Thank you soooo much for this one!

I don't know who I feel sorrier for, Dean or Sam. Sometimes the boys need a third party too look after them when they're both down for the count. And after tonight's finale... well, my heart hurts. I think this story is exactly what I needed tonight. ^-^

I like this ending. There was a real honesty to it without going over the top and becoming too schmoopy. This was well written, and the characterization was spot on. I can't wait to read whatever you write next!

A really great ending to a really amazing story! Loved how Sam made Dean feel better by asking Dean to make him feel better! Wow, did that sentence even make sense? Well, regardless, phenomenal job! Another marvelous story from the marvelous Jedi Sapphire! Can't wait to read your next installment! :)

Poor Sammy, being afraid to go to sleep. Great conclusion to a great story. Looking forward to whatever you come up with next. I am so with you on the hurt Sam and Supportive big brother Dean in the finally tomorrow. Can never get enough of that.

*sniff* sweet ending. Loved that Sam knew exactly what Dean needed and was more than willing to make the first move. Also really liked Dean's acknowledgment that Sam usually doesn't dwell on supernaturally induced arguments. Really enjoyed this story and I'm sad it's over
