Oh ho ho. The banter between these two is always so great.

This conversation between them is just so perfect.

"Then we'll talk about corpses until they leave." - HAHAHAHAHA. BEST QUOTE EVER.

Aww, that was nice. I'd love to hug little Sherlock for a while. Just cuddle him...

Thanks for writing!

Cuddling and motherly love. What else could you ask for? Lovely.

Thanks for writing!

You've used music, Wilde, Sherlock and slash. Now use Poe, Kerouac, Baudelaire and Byron and you'll be my definite idol. I adore The Portrait. With passion. And Wilde. Who doesn't? (insert cliche comment about americans - I think you are Canadian, though...- knowing about Wilde being a surprise) Well, lovely chapter. Great bit about Sibyl and William.

Thanks for writing!

I think you captured beautifully how music should be enjoyed. I've always thought that beyond understanding it, knowing about it, there was this sort of feeling that got you in synch with the melody, the life beating inside of you that connected your soul to the notes and made you really, really understand what it all was about. But again, I'm no expert, so I'm sure there's some posh music critic scolding at me while sipping his martini.

Loved it!

Sweet and funny, perfect combination. Wonderful!

Interesting to know... Exactly how much money do you think Sherlock's family has? Maybe a nobiliary title? Some sort of great estate? I've always wondered...

I guess it'd be at least intimidating to have your significant other having all this money and being treated like a lord, while you are feeling clumsy and inelegant, awkward and fidgety. Poor John.

Plus, what sort of job does Sherlock's father have? Something to do with diplomacy, right?

I like how at ease they are with each other. And the give-and-take kind of talking they always have, permanently being in their character.

Well, anyway, lovely chapter!

Thanks for writing!

Aw, aw, aw, aw, aw! The pointless discussion about legs being longer and invading Afghanistan... And the posture... Just mewww! I'd love to have Sherlock to cuddle with... They don't do that nearly enough. Loved it!

Thanks for writing!

Nawww I didn't want this story to end :( Highlights have definitely been the souvenir magnet running gag, the violin-playing scene, the picture that John took (I have such a clear picture of it in my head...) and, of course, any scene between Sibyl and John/Sherlock. Particularly loved the Sibyl/John interaction and really liked the little insights into the Sibyl/William relationship. I've really loved reading every chapter and I like that the wonderful, domestic fluff is undercut by the sadness that's coming. Reading this makes all the post-Sibyl's-death stuff so much more tragic, as well. Keep it coming!

PS Tiny little minor things, but in Britain vacation = holiday and high school = secondary school (or primary school/ sixth form, depending on which year you're in!) :)

This is a wonderful story. I love seeing a more in depth look at Sibyl and her relationship with Sherlock. It adds nice dimension to her appearance in your other stories, too. I wonder if Sherlock will ever discover the picture John brought home?

Loved it.

This is a lovely end to a gorgeous story; many thanks. It would be great to see more of Sibyl sometime later.

This is a lovely story. I really like the atmosphere you in it, the relationship between Sherlock and his mother, and John's reflections on it all. (P.S. I'm sorry I haven't been able to review every chapter, but you write so fast I can't keep up!)

I'm so sad this is over. I really would rather not say goodbye to Sibyl, ever. Oh, when she asked them to look after oen another! And the bit about Sherlock not feeling sentimental about saying goodbye. I just.

It seems fair that John has that picture whilst Sherlock keeps the one of John and Tricia.

Goodbye Sibyl. (please say it's not the last time we'll have the pleasure to be in her company.)
