You just made a very happy me!^^ I think it's a good ending. While in my head I very much wanted Cullen and Surana to live happily ever after, I knew it wouldn't happen. Like you pointed out, maybe in a different life. What I liked about the ending is the kiss. It had something definitive about it, which was sad but understandable. It made me happy again when they decided to write. It fits them.

Also I cracked up at the fact that Surana took her Wardens to a brothel to hang out. Virtual cookies for that!^^

Hooray! More of my favorite Templar!^^ I love the Orsino-Cullen interaction but the flashbacks and the end are the best! I'm really curious as to what is going to happen next... I hope the poor guy finds some happiness, I think he really deserves it...

You characterization of Cullen is spot on, struggling with his sense of duty and his personal feelings... I still kinda feel sad for him...

Anyway, great chapter, glad you decided to span out your oneshot!^^ Can't wait to read what's next!

This is perfect! I've always found Cullen to be a very interesting character, mostly because of his longing for the female Mage in DA:O (that for me gave him more dept then all the other Templars together...). II have wondered why he was so kind to Mage!Hawk after all that happened in the Tower... This explains his behavior perfectly. I feel kinda sad for him now, though...
