Wow! This is one of the best Halloween fics I've ever read, and I love it! I don't know most of the anime, but you write so well, I'm enjoying them. They fit so naturally into your story flow. I'm really glad a plot bunny came to bite you! I hope you have a bunny infestation, but that the bunny bites are painless, though frequent. :)

Hey this is fun. I like the angelic layer bit. Its too bad you've decided against writing one of those fun little beat downs by the young girls club of the layer. Now I'm just curious how they plan to get everybody off the SDF-1 as they go about stealing the thing. I can see the city now, filled with their brood of immortal children. Inbreeding could be a problem eventually if that isn't solved although an entire city slowly being filled by your children, grandchildren etc has got to get a bit wild if they go that route. They almost would need to start including generational tags to their names, which of course would get mixed up once new blood comes aboard. Oh the headaches and the grandmothers falling in love with grandchildren after moving on after a grandfather either dies or divorces or just agree to split up for a little while and nobody being able to keep track of everything! Yikes.

shame on me for not looking you up sooner! oh wow, hon, you have brought me back to one of the first anime i had ever seen, not just with robotech but with ranma too. bravo for all the fun you're having, and believe me, i enjoy it greatly.
and please, DON'T LISTEN TO FLAMERS OR COMPLAINERS! you have unmistakeable talent, and so long as you are happy with what you're doing, why listen to those that just ** and moan? now granted, if someone calls you out on an honest mistake, that's a completely differnt kettle of fish. but really, you are a fantastic author. don't let the haters get you down!

This chapter made me go back and read the story. I like your style - yes, including the explanations. actually, more for the explanations. Yes its a big "Answering questions we have" type of thing, rather than 'Its a story', but who said you can't tell a story AND answer questions at the same time? (aside from, you know, TV show writers who think you can only ever add more questions, what with thinking us fans dont want a payoff, just more angst)

Nice to see you back in the saddle again. I really do enjoy an exposition chapter every so often (well personally I like them regularly), just make sure to have some silly slapstick and/or funny stuff happen to keep those who are not as enthused about knowing backstory and understanding the world you are writing about entertained.
All in all, glad to see you back and here's to more writing goodness from you.

Once they’re ready to take on Herb and his Musk warriors, they might plan to submerge the Musk prince in a “blank” cursed spring to create Spring of Drowned Dragon Descendant (Longdechuanrennichuan*). That way, Xander, Willow, Doc, Nodaka, etc. can enjoy a boost in physical abilities and Ki/Chi-reserves as if they were born with Dragon blood running through their veins. [(*The Chinese people sometimes refer to themselves as ‘Descendants of the Dragon’ via the phrase “long de chuan ren.”)]
Doc Brown isn’t afraid to kill to protect his family and is willing to take any advantage he can get his hands on, so drowning Herb to create a new cursed spring wouldn’t be out of character for him. And turning himself into a human-dragon hybrid would give the Doc something new to study and focus his attention on. Physiologically, dragon descendants like Herb might have vestigial gas bladders once used to regulate fire breathing as well as bird-like hollow bones. Magically, many sorcerers claim that their talents come from draconic ancestry, so becoming human-dragon hybrids might give Xander, Willow, and Doc Brown the innate potential to learn arcane spellcasting.
