"Batman really was beginning to hate telepaths" Love that line!
Nice fight scene, not so sure I liked Batman leering over Diana, but personal opinion there... Update! Update!

GAH, I'm falling behind in reading this story :S
What I want to know is how *superheros* of all people don't care about a city in ruins. It's their job, isn't it? The whole point of them is to save people - I can understand why Bruce is annoyed..
..Oh wow..I always though it was LAX Luther. *head desk* Wow.. Clearly, I'm not in the know here :p
I know this is a random comment to make, but I always find it so funny when grown men refer to young boys as "sir". You'd think it would be a bad idea - it'd get the kids used to being in control and expect things of life that aren't necessarily right..but yeah. Random thought point for the day.
..Though I think in Bruce's case that's not very likely :p

Wow this is an awesome story i really like your interpretation. I prefer the Nolan Batman outfit it seems more realistic than if he was wearing tights lol. I'm not the best reviewer but yeah... Good job hope to read more of this real soon.

This was a wonderful chapter! I really like being able to know what Bat's is thinking. Really liked how you described Wally too :)
I can't wait for the next chapter!

The moment where the Bat Signal is lit for the first time is...quite frankly, one of the most badass things I have read, heartwarming yet subtly terrifying. The "superheroes'" reaction to hope returning to Gotham is great.
"As the words were spoken the signal flared to life. They jolted back, not even needing to look up, staring at the symbol of a bat surrounded by yellow light, the signal lighting up the night sky in a blaze of glory. It was then that something happened that caused Alan to drop to his knees. Throughout the entire conversation, various crimes were being reported in, the radio a constant buzz behind the conversation. Yet as the signal lit up the sky, everything went quiet. There was no sound of any new crimes.
THIS. Gotham's citizens have HOPE now. The criminals are beginning to be scared of the night. Of the Bat.
All in all, great story. Can't wait to see the next chapter.

I rarely review, but you definitely deserve it :)
This story is so wonderful so far, little Bruce just makes me tear up...knowing that the innocent child will someday become Batman is heartbreaking. It makes me wonder what would have happened if his parents hadn't died...
Anyway, I enjoy your writing style and how you describe the thoughts of each character. I can't wait to see what will happen once Batman meets his past-idol...This story is very well written and I am eagerly awaiting more.

Some how both Rachel and Gordon both asking him if he was going to/did scare Superman and Green Lantern to death is quite humerous... You even make Rachel more appealing, love it when you do that! Keep on keeping on!

I like it! Especially your Bruce Wayne characterization, you write the playboy/philanthropist aspect well. I liked the scene with Geraldine, is that something from one of the comics? I confess unfamilarity.
The portions where he was still a child were great too, they seemed in-line with the age you were portraying him at.
Great job! Looking forward to seeing more! :-)

You make Bruce so real, great job as usual! He is snobbish enough to keep appereances, but his heart is pure gold.

I lov how you write both Alfred and Gordon as adopted father-figures from Bruce.
Can't wait to see what comes next!

...That boy is actually *adorable* Omigosh and he has a *banner*! And a Butler... :p
Awwwwwwww. I'm sorry, this scene is like - it makes me want to hug everyone around me. Literally. And it doesn't help I'm already ridiculously happy - you've just catapulted me to hyperness. *bows*. I thank you :D
Oh no...this isn't the one where he gets scared of bats, has to go out and his parents get attacked is it?
No no no no no, do NOT leave the opera!
Bah. Grr. Now I'm just - we need to hunt down the guy! Do they find him in the end, during the series? And on his BIRTHDAY! Jeez...you know what's coming, don't you? Me + hunting down villain = ranting havoc in the review.
So...disappointment with superheros basically urged Bruce to become Batman? That's interesting..well, devastating, but you know what I mean..

Ok, I haven't actually written a review in ages, so this might prove to be as mad or madder than normal. And it will be chatty. You have been warned. :p
oooo, a young Batman talking about superman? It's not something I knew about...honestly, I never actually learnt much about these comics. Probably time I learnt, then :p But it is quite cool that a young Batman admires Superman.
Lol, the quietly amusing Butler. I like him. There must always be a character like that, in my opinion. They're awesome ;)
You know, destroying the Earth seems like such a random goal. Why destroy the planet you're living on? It just doesn't make sense...unless they have some sort of space ship to escape in, but then again I suppose whoever it is *was* a mad supervillain...
ooo, the beginning of Batman! I take it this is the cave he will later use? Oh no...that's so ominous his father always being there - doesn't he get killed? Yikes...I'm so out of touch with the comic world. It's like reading this is introducing me to a new world. I'm definitely considering that Justice League thing :D

The mid-paragraph jump through time confused me a lttle, but the rest was really good.
