This chapter left me more than a little choked up. I really admire Steven's choice, but know that in the same situation I'd react like CJ and would be terrified of sending a loved one off to military service during turbulent times. Good to have Gibbs see both sides of this and get CJ to swallow her fears enough to give Steven the love and support he deserves.

That was fabulous. Brought tears to my eyes. Gibbs was his usual self (strong, supportive, trusting, safe). Thank you for writing such a real and heart warming story. Our CJ has grown up.

A very nice little update and lots of Gibbs being Gibbs at his best.Getting to the real crux of the matter.
Poor Steven, I could empathize with his dejected emotions. You have devloped his chracter really well over the series, I like the young man he has become.
CJ is great too, she just needs to go through the process doesn't she? She is lucky that Steven and Gibbs understand that.
I am interested to see how your next story pans out... too soon for Tony and Ziva to be Grandparents. And I hope steven stays safe , though I could well imagine some of the scary situations and thats only in boot camp, that would be intersting. How CJ copes with him on a tour... even if its not to a war zone. I wonder what he will major in? Oops sorry my imagination runs away. The good side of that is, there are alot of us that have connected with CJ's journey, albeit a fictional one, but very enjoyable and nice.

Very Clever prank. We did something very similar in our final year. I hust love it when tony calls her peanut. I feel for him, life can move very fast with your children. We keep telling ours to stop growing!Though Penn University is too far away.Either is Annaplois.

Perfect... Love the family time to celebrate alone, love the prank and the reaction from the DP and especially love that CJ was jusg distracted enough that her confusion came across as innocence. Well done!
