Don't worry, it's not too fluffy yet. Just cute. :) When you write Mater's dialogue he sounds like Hagrid from Harry Potter. Except American, a tow truck, and with no wizardly powers whatsoever.

I love this story. It's simple (I mean, they're just going on a date) yet heartwarming and super fun. Mater and Holley are absolutely adorable here. I think you really did a great job writing them and keeping them in-character. They just feel so real and believable. All their lines, their inner thoughts, their emotions... I could easily see it all happening in canon.
Oh, and you get extra points for including Otis. I think most people forget he exists, and as another reviewer before me said, it's really nice to see a nice lemon for a change. (Not that I don't love the evil lemons, too. XD)
I hope to see more Cars fics from you! ^^
