Wow... it's great! It really, really is.
I think there's no doubt that Ianto has been abused as a child, Children of Earth gave that much away, but BOTH of his parents? This is... hard stuff. But great. I really like how you portrait both Jack and Ianto.
You actually made me cry a bit, and I didn't even recognize it, but it is so.. sad.

Personally, I would have like some more comfort/reassurance from Jack, just to sort of uplift the story a little, but if thick angst is what you were aiming for, you certainly achieved it ;) Just one thing - that really long paragraph where Ianto tells Jack all about his childhood in one go? It's quite difficult to read because it's not broken up. Fixing that would make your story flow much better. But I am a massive fan of angst and angst is what I got so thank you for a great story :)

Okay I don't think Ianto's childhood was that bad. I mean I knew it wasn't good from the way he way but I doubt his father ever... otherwise I don't think he could have been with Jack the way he was.
But even if it is alittle too bad it was a interesting read. I kept feeling so sorry for Ianto! I kept thinking Jack how could you make him live this over again and also how could you now have made him open up ealier at the same time! And I wanted more of Jack comforting Ianot.
Oh and I read this without reading the first one. :)
