It was a good story, but I'm not sure that I feel that Rika and her Mom actually acted as if they had been through something like that on the show. Wasn't her Mom kind of perky? I'm trying to remember what had happened to her dad. I know they explain it in one of the movies, or at least mention him, but of course those haven't been released to the U.S. Oh well. Good writing.

hmmm. interesting view of Rika's past. she was portrayed excellently. I have one suggestion though. It would be much easier to read if it were separated into paragraphs. Good fic anyways.
