Great job, loved this chapter in it's entirety. There was so much raw emotion. You did a great job with the character interactions. There were so many great scenes in this chapter, it's hard to pick which I want to comment on:
1. Loved the interaction b/t Thomas and Mega. Mega seems to realize just were Proto is mentally/emotionally and that's great b/c he needs the support to grow. "Growing pains" I couldn't have worded it better...
2. Absolutely LOVED the interaction b/t Proto and Dr. Light. I was mentally cheering "YES!" the entire time I was reading that section. Their conversation got down and deep. You did a great job writing it! I especially loved when Thomas told Proto he would always be "his" boy. :-D I hope to see their relationship develop further.
3. Wiley- Wow! Well, he is insane. You did a great job expressing his view. I always believed he cared about Proto but he lost sight of it as he slipped further into madness. I'm glad he felt some remorse over what he did to proto...before projecting the blame onto Dr. Light. Yeesh! Lol! I'm a little scared for Dr. Light. Wiley has it in for him now.
4. Proto and Nomad- :-D I was squealing when Proto dropped his helmet and she ran into his arms. I really like this coupling! Their so cute! I do hope Proto will eventually trust his family with her existence. I am hoping can help repair her.
All together, a great chapter. I am a BIG Protoman fan so half the time you have me jumping around the room in excitement. Hehe! There's a mental image for you when you're pumping out the next chappie: Sky running around in circles behind you with big anime star struck eyes and a Protoman doll clutched tightly in her arms...Lol!

Great conclusion to year three and I really liked the touching scene between Proto and Nomad. :) There’s quite a bit of suspenseful foreshadowing and I imagine it’ll only be a matter of time before Wily has something sinister in mind.
It’s great to see Mega is feeling a lot better and was able to have his phone conversation with Kalinka. Hopefully they have a lot of fun on their next date. ;)
It was also a very nice scene between Proto and Dr. Light. I’m happy that Proto is taking even the smallest steps to better his relationship with the Light family and hopefully in time he'll feel more comfortable around them and trust can be rebuilt.
I was actually surprised that Wily felt any remorse for loosing Proto and that there was a small amount of his humanity intact; too bad he didn’t use this opportunity to change in ways but has shifted the blame for his horrendous deeds to Dr. Light.
I fear for Dr. Light’s safety and hope that Wily never succeeds.

Another great chapter, you really know how to depict a character's mind, I'd wish I'm able do the same!
Great at Proto's roof top scene, he's a got a lot of problems in his hands, and the Nomad, the feelings like all mushy and tingly inside is a good thing, enough for him to forget the bad things that happens in his life.
Wily is crying over Proto's betrayal, that's another superise, but too bad he is getting even more crazy than before.
I must admit, writing story is really fun, you don't want to stop once you started.

damn for a moment wily Almost sounded sane, self awareness is a good thing, but people aways have to have someone to blame. so much for that besides the creep deserves to hurt after all he's done not just to proto but all the nameless (to him) others and to the Lights and his own robot masters.
Bass best beware of similar treatment since he doesn't have those same ties with Wily that Proto did particularly witht Roll in the mix, Wily would likely get it worse if he ordered Bass directly to kill Roll.
I loved the reflection of Proto on the roof and some of the things he admitted to Dr Light, though I'm a little surprised he'd...trust that easily again when someone called him His Boy. He never struck me as the type to trust easy.
I adored the scene between Proto and Nomad because their blooming love and affection is beautiful together.

it's been a very wild ride for defender and there's more to come I'm guessing. Proto man may have turned back on Wily, But i get the feeling it's going to be hard for him to adjust not being on Wily's Side. it's quite odd Proto feeling a tiny bond left with Wily, Robo Stockholm syndrome? and is Proto's positive traits back? looking back at the scene Wily Deletes the traits and the loyalty programming, But when Proto turns on him did he get his positive traits back? if that happened wouldn't the loyalty be restored? Bass is still being as creepy as always, it's oddly touching to see him try to comfort Wily after What happened, considering how angry they are with each other in the classic verse. Usually i'm against shipping but the way you handled Rock/kalinka is very well done. you managed to make me feel sorry for Wily, that's quite a feat, then that feeling fades when he start's threatening Light for his mistakes. again. Still that was one of the most powerful scenes I've seen in this story and there have been a lot of powerful scenes. That scene reminded of Rockman the robot wars Wily during his insanity, hell they both have Wily Feeling remorse then forgetting about it and getting even more violent. Wily will be out of business for a while, i recommend focusing on the Cochran family, Tron Will be an awesome villain and a great foil to kalinka and Roll. Mega Man teaming up with Mr. black? no, no matter how awesome that sounds i can't see Mega Man working with him to take out Wily, Mega Man does not want vengeance he wants Wily in jail, Mr. Black want's Wily Dead. plus Mr. Black did injure a couple of his friends back in the interludes, that won't help his case. enjoy your vacation you earned it, several times over. Good luck on what you plan for the Future.

this chapter was incredible. i say that every time, but it's true!
The news report was very telling in that it talked a lot more about Mr. Black than Proto :( but i dunno if Proto'd care for publicity much, given the events of episode 5... interesting how the public views mr. black too o.o
I d'aaawed so much at boo giving Mega the balloon, Rush winking at Mega calling Kalinka (XD) and the actual call. I'm so glad Kalinka's okay :) sad that her news reports didn't mention Proto either, but :) that mega was able to tell her himself!
I LOVED Proto's talk with Dr. Light-especially how he was able to stop himself from leaving and talk honestly about how he felt. he must be so hurt after what wily did :( and i'm happy he's giving them another chance, just like they're giving him another chance :)
o_o that Wily had a concussion and memory loss. ...OK Bass is seriously creepy. I can't imagine how he'd defeat Mega AND take Roll as his queen, esepcially without killing him...ack, maybe he means reprogramming D:
Wily's reaction to what bass told him, especially the solid proof that Protoman really was gone, was surprisingly moving...but it's wily's own fault that things turned out that way, and given his monstroud acts...he already passed the point of no return. idid feel sad that eh regretted it, but it's WAY too late to make amends...and i wen D8 when he blamed dr. light as well. something tells me his new obsession will be with Light, not Megaman...ack, and he doens't even care about taking the world anymore...eeep...
The proto-Nomad scene was te perfet end to this chapter, especially the last few lines. ".
But, for right now, he feels fine. The hole in his heart has been filled with his brother in his life, a shot at a new relationship with his family, Dr. Wily out f his life, and the girl he loves in his arms. And he wouldn't trade it for the world.
The war will continue, and there will be more battles. But, right now on this night, all is well."

But Wily... oh, geez. He says "FML", I say "You deserved it." I mean, throughout the entire scene, I was trying to apply this bit of logic: Had ProtoMan not left, Wily would not have stopped. This is made clear. And yet... damn it, you know that "kernel of humanity" the narrator mentions? I outright struggled with this kernel of sympathy, even as I was glaring at the screen. I was outright relieved when Wily started raging again, and even said "Thank God; I was starting to get uncomfortable." Bravo, MB. You pretty much made me feel sorry for the monster for a few seconds. That takes skill. Bravo.
Oh my gah, I was hoping the final scene would be Proto/Nomad. And I was definitely satisfied. I did indeed let out a noise that was not as loud as usual, considering the time of night, but still high-pitched and VERY Gancenan. I'm all melty and fluttery inside just looking at the scene!
Oh, you definitely deserve your break, and I sincerely hope you enjoy it! (I know that no later than next week, I should be able to provide you with SOMEthing to read... ;D)

Mega's back on his feet and that's a really good thing. Seeing the family together was really good but the scene with Dr. Light and Proto was truly something. I really liked that scene and I'm happy the two talked after so long. Also, the talk with Mega and Kalinka was just cute.
Hoo boy, Wily's not taking it well. He isn't taking it VERY well. Finding out he not only lost the Mad Grinder but also ProtoMan really blows. To be fair, I sum it up in four words: like father, like son. No surprise because the same abuse his father brought on him ended up in ProtoMan. He took it well... very well although what happened afterwards awakened a fire inside. Unfortunately, it's not very good.
I don't know what it'll lead to especially with Episode 12 coming. I will say that now... it's personal. It's very personal.
This is a really good epilogue and I will say this. You earned your break. :) I look forward to the Interlude when it comes. Until then, rock on. :) #Defender

Just wanted to comment that I like what you're doing with Dr. Wily's abusive past and mental illness; you do a good job of showing how it causes his behavior without letting it EXCUSE his behavior.
My only critique is that sometimes you could do less tell and more show.

Never having watched the cartoon and being only a fan of the games, I enjoyed this first chapter. I especially like your portrayal of Dr. Wily: egotistical, self-centered, but not yet completely evil nor irredeemable. Looking forward to reading more!

I glad that everything ended on a very touching and positive note. It was moving to see Mega’s love ones, friends and those he’s helped give hope to worry about his well-being and how each was affected in a different way.
Thankfully Dr. Light was able to repair Mega without any lasting effects on his memory core. It was kind of Proto to donate his own internal regulator for Mega's survival and by doing so it gave Mega a fighting chance.
I'm also happy that Mega and Proto can now have the brother relationship they've always wanted.
Hopefully in time Roll will be able to forgive her eldest brother and they'll have a better relationship too. It's nice to see that Peek-a-boo and Proto formed a bond right away.
I imagine after Mega's has the opportunity to recover a bit more that he'll need to call his beloved and let her know he's alright.;) I'm sure Kalinka is still quite worried.
I'm anxious to see what will happen in the future, Wily most likely has something vile planned.
