for The Dresden Fillies: Strange Friends

This is utterly magnificent. I'm not actually in the Dresden Files fandom (he reminds me a lot of the original John Constantine from the Hellblazer comics - not the in-name-only Keanu Reeves version of course), but I followed this along just fine. Please do write a sequel if you haven't already.

Thank you for the excellent stories! I'm keeping tabs on the sequel, and I love these stories.

The characterization is excellent, the dialogue witty, and the action compelling. However, there are a few grammar and spelling errors that could be easily corrected.

Excellent job. I just finished reading this and I must say: this has been an EPIC read for my week, and I am hoping to see a sequel eventually!

While I would never admit that I actually enjoy MLP (publicly I only watch it for the sake of my little niece) this was a great story worthy of being favored. Good job.

Whew indeed! Quite the rollercoaster, sir. I had an absolute blast reading this, and on Christmas day no less! I could pick and choose certain things that I enjoyed the most, but I'm tired and lazy and, suffice to say, I enjoyed the whole damn thing.

And yes, I'd love to see a sequel. The combination of Dresden's snark and the adorableness of ponies is too powerful to resist.

You had me scared for a minute there when everypony started dropping like flies, but I'm glad to see that they're (apparently) alright. No idea what Harry and the girls plan to do next, but one thing's for certain, it's gonna be fun!

As an enormous fan of The Dresden Files, I have to say, you nailed Harry's snarkiness perfectly. He's such a magnificent jackass, just like he is in canon. And to add to that, I'm loving your creative author's notes at the end of each chapter. I have to head off to a Christmas party later, but once I get back you can bet money on me finishing this entire story tonight.

Thanks for the wonderful read, good sir.

not a big fan of MLP but this had too many fav's to ignore. And what do you know? Even with its seemingly absurd premise you managed to make a good and serious fic out of it. That is the mark of a great writer. Bravo.

Now this chapter was hilarious!

The 'princess is in another castle line had me leaning back in my seat laughing out loud, and Harry vs Rainbow Dash was just as hysterical.

It was also nice to see more of the ponies this chapter.

Another good chapter.

Humor was again very funny, and I liked how Twilight had the same thought Harry did.

The description of Harry's soul was okay. I have my own idea of what it looks like (a more 'hellish' one, based off the few lines about it and what I know of Harry's character) but yours is still very well thought out and described.

Next chapter!

I must admit that when I first saw looked at this I was like "A crossover between My Little Pony and The Dresden Files(My favorite book series of all time)? Can't be. We're taking about the show with the impossibly cute talking ponies and the book series about the wizard with the life so dark and miserable he makes Peter Parker look like Micky Mouse?

But this first chapter was really, really amusing. Harry looks to be completely in character and his humor seemed pretty damn accurate to the books!

It was also pretty interesting, especially the soul gaze scene. Poor Twilight, looks like she's still having nightmares from the experience(and may continue to for a while).

Can't wait to read more!

You wrote a story that was perfectly in-character for both Dresden Files and MLP? Color me impressed.

This was very nicely done. I thank you for the reading experience.

As fans of both properties, my roommate and I are treating this like canon, because you did a terrific job blending Dresden's world with that of FiM without any loss of quality on either side.

And oh the scenes and quotes that I take from this- though my favorite is "I the hay am Harry Dresden," if only because of the way it rolls off the tongue. Thoroughly enjoyed Dresden's perceptions of Harmony, the ponies' magic and all other impressions of Equestria, as well as the parallel reactions through Twilight. I used to joke Twi was the FiM Dresden and here was another fan who caught that thread and took it to stunning heights.

I could not in good faith post this review though without pointing out how the lack of immediacy through the story sapped some of the tension. Dresden being able to weave a spell in a minute or two is pretty quick, but in battle that is an agonizingly long time. The pace of the castle trek is where this really stood out.

However! This is not a big enough distraction to ruin the story. Stars and stones, no! Every scene was welcome and voraciously consumed (I had to re-read the whole thing just to make sure I got all the details).

You did a really great job and this is going down as one of my favorite fics of all time. I'm already knee deep in False Masks and enjoying the ride.

Keep up the stellar work and I look forward to further stories!
