Jeez I almost screamed at you with that ending XD But there's to be a sequel so now i'm excited. + you didn't make it have the happy ending you left a cliffhanger at the end, not many series-fics I've seen do that (There's really only a few that I've read like that, but still.) The end kinda reminds me of Star Wars O.o don't ask.
Anyway, I still think Seraph is a D-bag (naturally) tho I like what you did with making Vaan almost die(Not that I want him dead, sure he's annoying in the canon but I still use him in my main party anyway). It accentuated Serry's inner demons i think. (He's definitely the jealous, greedy type, like "If i can't have you NO ONE CAN-type(Ha, his name's Seraph but he's no angel XD))
So like I said, KUDOS to you for this and I'm excited for your sequel.
Btw you do a lot of these at once. I'm suprised your head hasn't exploded with all this multi-tasking LOLz (Don't explode please. XD)

Oh my moogles! Just read chapter 11-It really threw me for a loop. again. The story is coming to a dramatic close, it makes me sad... but I must say you have not disappointed at all. (I mean you could drabble it longer, but I hear that causes cross-eyedness. ^^) And on a fangirl note, *WARNING: FANGIRLISM BEYOND THIS POINT* Seraph needs to get his friggin' eyes gouged *Fangirl RAWR* :( he's one of those D-bags you love to hate. Poor Balthy~ T.T *END FANGIRL TRANSMISSION* So yea. Keep up the good work, meanwhile I'm going to check out some of your other stories.

I started this late, so I'll do my review in bulk here~
I used to dislike Shonen-ai/Yaoi (more of a Shoujo-ai/Yuri gal myself) but after seeing fics like this I see no real difference between the two (aside genders XD). Anyway, I KUDOS you on this for quite a few reasons; Firstly, I think Balthier's little "trip" (LOL) is hilarious. It's so OOC to see Balthier fall, and not many Balthier-centric fics I've read make him anything other than "the Leading Man". I give you props for taking that "leap" in fanficdom. (of course it was a bit necessary for this fic's plot, i mean you can't have him lose in anything aside a freak accident, it's Balthier after all LOL.) I also like the 180-flip he takes after the fall. Like I said, not many people make Balthy out to be anything less than the Leading Man. Rarely does he show weakness. But making Balthier act... naive, easy-going, not caring at all of images or reputations, it's more than simply changing his character; it sort of signifies that if Balthier hadn't experienced what he had in the Canon, he might not be so cocky, egotistical, etc. And I think that speaks a bit more to the reader (such as me XD). So KUDOS.
On the note of Ch.10, I think that Seraph showing up definitely threw me for a loop. It was a bit soap-opera-ish, but hey, it isn't bad whatsoever. I'd suggest a interlude-ish chapter that shows how he (Seraph) went from "O i love you Ffamran" to "I'm gonna fake my death for your psycho-dad's benefit". Because right now I just see it as "Balthier got played" and etc. etc. ramble missing.
