I really liked this, even though I don't get why everybody complains about how the cooking night fixed everything. It didn't because things were fixed long before then. The organ issue had already been solved by Hotch in the season premiere and I believe that when Emily talked to Reid in the end of the episode about how she mourned the loss of six friends he realized that JJ, after all, saved Emily's life. I also understand why he was mad at JJ and Emily mainly, for he trusted Emily (but it seemed as if she didn't fully trusted him back) and the JJ-thing is explained so... I dunno. I just don't look at the episode's closing scene as the one who fixes everything but the first one in which most problems are eventually fixed. Like it's done then. Totally.

However... I liked reading this. It was good & I think you have a very good style of writing.

This was really well done. I too hated parts of this episode for all the same reasons. What passed for resolution just wouldn't have been enough in real life, especially given the particular characters involved. The writers of this show are making it so hard for fanfiction writers to stay within canon, so I appreciate the little changes you made to your story to work in the extra dialogue between Reid/Emily and the continuation of the confrontation between Reid/JJ to render the resolution more palatable. Nice touch having him call her "Jennifer" a second time - that was so powerful in the episode itself and spoke volumes of how angry he was with her.

The only quibble I have is that I don't really believe Reid ever hated JJ. He certainly had some strong negative feelings about her because of what he felt was a betrayal of his implicit and unconditional trust in her; but hatred is pretty strong, especially for Reid. Very nice job, though. I wish the writers would have extended the conflict and showed an actual resolution(to make it seem more realistic), especially for the fans of the show. They didn't, so thanks for this.

I agree with pretty much everything you said in your intro. I'm so glad to find stories like this to help feel the gap that I don't think they're ever going to fill in the actual show.

Thank you for this. While I still think Morgan's reaction is too...understated...I think you got Reid spot on.

very nice story

I agree the cooking lesson kinda glossed over alot, but I think they were running low on time too. Frevently hoping they show more JJ / Reid in the coming eps and demonstrate how they're working on things

I thought exactly the same about the pasta party scene, I mean after being mad with JJ through the whole episode, suddenly after a talk with Emily, who he wasn't even mad with, Reid is okay with JJ? He even smiled at her! It was a no. And the plane talk, it'd have been great if the episode was about Reid mad and snapping at Emily, so that talk was out of place. I'd have liked that what you wrote is what really happened, because I have the feeling that for next week's episode things are gonna be alright between them without a scene to explain what happened. I hope the writers realize something is missing and give us at least a small scene or them not being completely okay with each other.

I wish your bathroom scene would have been the episode. It would have made it easier to move on. The next few episodes should be interesting.
