Thank heavens, a story that doesn't have Celestia as an evil supervillian or tortured soul, just a nice character piece, showing her as she is in the series.
It was a very nicely written, well thought out idea, and I loved the characterisation of the guard. I did wonder what could hurt Celestia, short of a direct hit by the Death Star. But this makes sense, and far more than the 'ohh, Celestia obviousdly has Luna locled up in a dungeon, despite the fact that the one time we've seen her tear up is when her sister was returned to her.'
Sorry, that always pushes my buttons. As I said, great story. I look forward to more.

Good writing, although the story seems sort of... Bland?
