I love it when authors make Ianto turn out to be more than he appears (especially empath!Ianto, because that's just so perfectly him)! I always get warm fuzzies when I see that. You have done a brilliant job portraying him and his reactions to everything! Loved how you had Jack handle him after Lisa.
*struggling not to laugh* Plural Z Alpha? I think that may have been the funniest Hitchiker's reference I've ever read. Not entirely sure why. It's placement is fairly innocuous, but I burst out laughing when I saw it.

The way you portrayed Ianto's conflicted anger and guilt was very touching, as was the kindness with which Jack confronted Ianto. I really liked how Jack opened up to Ianto at the end and told him that story about himself. That requires and shows an enormous amount of trust in Ianto and the conviction that their working relationship can be mended.

I like the way you write. It draws the reader in and makes them feel what the characters feel. Stories following the canon are pretty popular among the fandom, but your story stands out and makes it new and exciting again to see the relationship between Ianto and Jack form.
