Hm... actually it isn't really oryginal idea (I mean that Akkarin and Sonea were use energy from arena to fight with Ichani). But you have nice style. You did good work and I believe, that this story can develop in to something interesting. So I'm waiting to next chapter :*

Your version is OK so far, although if the battle was in the Arena, the Ichani would know to take the power too (unless I missed something). Also, when Sonea & Akkarin drain the power away, I would imagine it obvious to all magicians who sense it power.
On the other hand, if you are willing to write, I will definitely read, there not enough BMT fic for me
