I have watched IPS sporadically over the years. After reading your version of events, I think I am hooked.
After so many missed cues, Mary and Marshall are finally on the same page. Although I started this story not knowing the characters terribly well, I quickly came to care about them. This is a testament to your gift for storytelling. I can't wait to read more.

I just found and read both Mirror stories tonight! Please tell me there is another story to finish out the tale of Mary and Marshall!

I liked the story, although I do feel it needs closure! WHat's gonna happen to them? Where will they go, both professionnally and personnally? I reckon you need to write more! :-)
Thank you

Oh, bittersweet ending! Mary and Marshall finally reconcile, admit their feelings. But both have burned bridges and can't just go back to the way things were. They may not be in ABQ, but they will be together somewhere. And yes, they will figure it out.
Nice story with realistic look at how M&M would disintegrate without the other. Pain, hurt, betrayal, aching emptiness. Each feels this without the other filling that all important role of partner, best friend. And recognize at the end they need the other to make those feelings go away.
Refreshing turn to not have the typical happy ending, but a rather sad one, with a hint of hope. Well done!

I love, love, love how you put them together. And I love that even though they are together not everything got tied up in a little bow. They still have a lot to work through, both of them. I've loved every bit of this story.
Everyone chant now:
TRILOGY! TRILOGY! TRILOGY!

Glad to see Mary and Marshall admit things and work them out. Definitely would like to read more and see where they go from here. Well written story.

Not a good moment for Mary - Hopefully a friend shows up when she needs it the most.
Looking forward for the next part !

I am just hopelessly behind in reading and reviewing, so forgive my late appearance to the party here. I am enjoying this as well as TDK. It is almost painful to journey with our two heros through their painful recognition of a life left empty without the other. Filled only with work. And when that is taken away...then what? I am happy Marshall has shown up here. Maybe, finally, they will talk to each other, start to heal the rift, repair the friendship.

I'm almost stunned into silence... buuutttttt... YAY! MARSHALL'S THERE!
I like the tougher way that Mary's new partner and new boss are on her versus the way Marshall and Stan were with her. Mary could use a bit of that. Props for bringing Alison back in a believable and useable way.
Mary in anger management classes would be priceless.
I was right there with Mary over slamming her badge on the desk and walking away. Her fury was written terrifically. I completely got caught up in it. Of course, she can't really do that, not with everything she's given up.
And still, after all this time, Marshall reads her beautifully. "(Just) tell me what you need, (Mare)." will never not make my heart flutter just a bit.
