Disclaimer: not familiar with the fandom, but looked up Skins and Cassie.
I liked the structure of this, building to that long third sentence,, then each sentence getting shorter and shorter. Cassie seems so emotionally detached from her body, objectifying it, then she's pushed back into the physical and the almost forced interaction with solid objects. This seems written about someone who finds it hard to distinguish what's real and what's in her head.

This is flawless. It's so Cassie, so floaty and drifty and just there. It's amazing how such a small amount of words can have a big impact on the reader. You're a lovely author :)

Skins! I started watching Skins this summer and I'm almost caught up now. And Cassie is one of my favorites!
And I really like this, it seems very Cassie! It's very descriptive and I like the italics, especially the beginning line. And the ending - the "Like she ever had a choice" seems very bitter to me, and gets at some of Cassie's not so nice side.
