Woo-hoo! This is everything I never knew I always wanted. I have such a thing for stories that talk about the vast and frankly rather scary power behind Charles' kindness and wry humor and determination, and you've explored it better than most. I am particularly glad that you've dwelled on the closeness between Erik and Charles without making it romantic (it's no fun to always have the same relationship in stories!). Brilliant brilliant job. :D

I've never read Charles' telepathy portrayed so realistically before. I can't imagine what this type of "gift" would do to a child.
And I'm glad you had Eric kill Shaw. In so many stories a changed Eric lets shaw live, but I don't care how much he might change Shaw deserved to die and even a saint would see that.
Bottom line...I loved this story.

Oh my gosh! this was amazing! incredible! Ive never read a fanfiction that describes a very powerful Charles that hides behind a mask half as good as this one! all the characters are in character, and I just loved this cherik (well, kind of) where Charles and Erik DONT end in the bed!

Interesting take on this story. I always thought that Emma was (should be) totally outclassed by Charles, but this brings a new dimension to that concept. Thanks!

This is the tenth time I've read this story since discovering it a short while ago. I rarely review the stories I read at all, but the quality of this fic has led me to respond a second time. I just wanted to reiterate how beautiful I find this story to be.
A sequel would be much appreciated. A Wanted/X-Men fic would also be amazing; I would look forward to reading each chapter very much. To be honest, Charles is my favorite, and an individual whose personality and depth of character have yet to be truly explored frequently enough to my liking. I love Erik's POV, and his greater insight to how amazing his friend really is.
Please go beyond contemplation and write your X-Men and Wanted/X-Men fics as envisioned,

This story is beautiful. Chapter 4, and the extent of Charles' power, was by far the best part of the entire fic for me. The words you crafted were so poignant; I actually wept when reading of the connection he established between man and mutant.
