A total relief-on a system bound up by unreadable garbage, it's profoundly enjoyable to find something worth devoting a few minutes to. Also, so many people around here seem to suffer from the idea that 'long' equals 'good'. You, on the other hand, have constructed a story that only takes a moment to read, but still leaves the viewer satisfied. My only complaint is about the alliance between the human and Covenant forces. It isn't that I don't believe this could happen, but I do have a hard time buying that most humans wouldn't mind being made a part of the Covenant. I'm not sure if you've read 'The Fall of Reach', but we really see what bastards the Covenant are over the course of the book, and how devestating they've been to humanity. However, for the sake keeping a short story short, it's easy enough to let it slide. Great job!
