OH MY GOSH! Why couldn't it happen like that in the show? That was brilliant! So flawlessly written, and extremely entertaining!

Aww, this is wonderful, DFC. I was SO excited to see an update by you today, and you didn't let me down. In fact, I think this is one of my favorite of your stories yet. Not only is it adorable and perfectly holiday themed, but I think you've gotten down the characters and Lorelai's thoughts of the possibility of a relationship down better than most fics I've seen. Your early stories were wonderful too, but I also think you know the characters better now. And DARN, do you know them well!
One of the things I love in your stories is how well Luke knows Lorelai. Though amused by her antics, he also understands which ones are ways of Lorelai stalling or trying to cover up her feelings (I always remember the scene in DMaF where Luke is frustrated with Lorelai putting on an act to try to get him to do a favor). I also love how you write Lorelai. She's the kind of person who is so easy to miswrite, especially from the outside looking in, because she has her moments of just being silly and outgoing. But deep down is the insecure Lorelai, a very complex character, and you've captured her so well here and have celebrated both her flaws and her strengths. I wish more people would write Lorelai the way you do!
Lorelai gulped before she nodded hesitantly. "I think so. A little bit. But you know, there's bad scared, like when there's a zombie waiting in the parking lot to eat your brains, or when you're just turning 16 and you have to tell your parents that you're pregnant. Those things are terrifying. But then there's the good sort of scared, like waiting to ride a roller coaster, or opening your own business, or…maybe taking a chance on starting a relationship with a great guy. That's when you're scared, but you know that everything will turn out awesome if you're just brave enough to take the chance. And I'm pretty sure this is the good sort of scared."
^Can I frame this? Please? Such a perfect quote of Lorelai's feelings of jumping into a relationship with Luke.
Happy holidays, and thanks for another great fic! ~
