Interesting that Hock managed to get one up on Shepard, sly the guy was. But that he was waiting for Kasumi was also rather interesting. Guess it takes a thief to catch a thief... although the description of him should actually be quite a bit worse.
Gellian's death was very hard. Well done. I wonder how that will shape both Eir and Thug.

Very interesting little situation Eir finds herself in. Mother is going to be supremely pissed, yesh she is.
Afrikaans. South Africa.
I read that. Reread that. Reread it again. Then promptly freaked out. Couldn't help myself. Represent!
Oh wait he's a bastard. Er... not so much represent then brudda.
I love Shepard's reaction to Finn Janu and her thoughts. That made me laugh out loud.
As did the giggle. Loved it all.

Great party. Kinda reminds me of the Citadel DLC. Good to know that the relationship between Liara and Del is going just fine. I was hoping we would get to actually see the crew being taken, but whatever. This is still my favorite series on fanfic.
P.S. - Shepard can dance? BLASPHEMY!

I really enjoy Del's responses to Jack. She seems to be speaking the same language and not just the same type ;) Lots of things in this chapter one could comment on. Kasumi's voice is very clear and unique from everyone else's. Mordin's rhythm is well captured. Love the description of the dress.
The fight at the end between Shrive and Eir was very well done. One could see what's happening - not an easy feat when it comes to fights and movement.

If you are not big on Anime you might not get this.
There is tragic character and there is Emiya Kiritsugu. Del is up there with Kiritsugu. Difference being she has Liara and she has a heart that hasn't gone completely cold - Offhand suggestion, watch Fate/Zero if you ever get the time. Its awesome.
You capture the feel of the games perfectly AND enhance them with your wonderful tweaks. For example, ME 1 had a very dark, brooding feel to it. DE 1 not only captured that perfectly but multiplied it. DE 2 was everything and more than I expected. Your writing compels me to read till I have finished the story - and I'm in the middle of my end-semester exam XD
Your and my feelings toward Tali are the same - sweet little sister :D Grunt - scratch that - your connection to all the characters is very similar to mine and that makes it so much easier to get sucked into the story.
And yes, you - or rather Del - might actually turn me into a cigar smoker ;)
Oh, btw, are you really asked whether you are girl that often? Why? What blasphemy is this?

This was a very interesting chapter for me. You captured a flash really well. It was actually disturbing to read it. One could completely understand Del's quiet freak out. Osco's hand just stretches everywhere... Also liked the interaction with Chakwas - especially with the doctor's initial misgivings. Very nice insight on scars.
I'm not quite sure what's up with Osco and Eir. I can't quite get why Shrive should be taken out. Either I missed something or it's still coming. We shall see.

Your Kelly is a lot stronger than what I thought the game version was - especially given that her guilt can actually end up making her do some severe stuff in ME3. I like yours more :)
I love this reflective bit. The idea that the group isn't just ragtag but utterly smashed and insane. Very nice. The galaxy is doomed haha.
Oh and I LOVED that Miranda couldn't handle the rat. Love it. Brilliant.
You're making me very curious about rats...

A rat! Never had one. You described the movements of the animal well enough to make me curious how one would train them and not just have them bolt at the first opportunity.
Ah, the council. What can we say about them? Nothing nice. ;)
The one thing that I've always been wondering about was how much Shepard would actually respond to how long her distance from the others has been with regards to time. Meaning, Anderson hasn't seen her in years where with Shepard it was probably what?... a month? On the one hand there's probably this thing in her head telling her she would never have seen them again, but on the other hand, her response to them wouldn't nearly be as "emotional" as their. It's a strange balance. Not that Del's heading too far one way or the other. Just an observation.

Nice reveal of the rest of Liara and Nan's conversation and the mystery behind Shepard's name. Kasumi is an interesting character. One that can be quite nice to mess with as a writer if you know how to do her justice. I don't. :P Should be interesting to see what you come up with.

I tend to be a very distrusting wench. The forgive and forget thing doesn't quite work for me. So I was all but ready to shout at Shepard when she let Zaeed off. Totally should've left him there.
Sad about Liara. Just shows perceptions so well. Shepard sees her crying perhaps from saying goodbye or just as traces of the grief. Liara was most likely crying because she was lying and deny herself so completely. Hm.

Never played any of the DLCs and have to admit, what I read and saw of Zaeed wasn't anything that interested me - beside the awesome actor that voiced him. So I have very little frame of reference here - which is rather interesting. It's the first time that's the case with a non-OC. :)

I think Shepard's response to Miranda's genetics back story has to be the best I've seen. Logical, to the point, knowing back the bs and hitting straight at the heart of the operative. Best way to deal with Miranda - teaching her to respect the mind of Shepard and not just her prowess as a soldier. Also a great way for the inner confrontation to happen faster and have her shake off her issues a little easier (if only just giving her a nudge in that direction).
Loved the OCD bit :D

Very gutsy from Shepard. In its own way, she's also throwing herself towards death be it running guns blazing or having barrels put against her head. Still, I think you've captured the plague area really well and made it a bit more real than one could have perceived it playing the game.
