Hi. I love Shi's character... and of course disappointed at Jake and Lianne staying in character.. but that's in character.
However.. I didn't like the story (it's actually a compliment.. see the end!)
Mostly, it was soo much more superficial than Truth Series. A "major conversation" about getting married and then about having kids is a few lines of dialogue separated by years?
You set them up years before this with Veronica have discussions with Alicia about how to change him (don't push!) so for these to be the whole conversation..
In fact, V comes off, with Logan, as more enigmatic and aloof than you made her out to be. I kinda got pissed off at her in the story - partly it's a spaced out future fic so I didn't see all the loving interaction in between, but I couldn't really see what Logan saw in her, given just this story. Other than her interaction with Shi.
I did think this was really nice prose.. "When her period came a few days later, she didn't know whether to be happy or to cry." - probably because that was emotionally evocative.
I'm sorry - you've set such a high standard on the emotion and character bleeding off the page in the truth series so far that this seems.. very lackluster. I hope you don't treat this as "canon" for your truth series. I'm looking forward to more real discussions and not fluff in Playing Hide and Seek With the Truth. (wasn't the Paris trip offered as a reward for.. something unspecified?)

PS: SO glad to hear about the return of Hide & Seek. Ever since you figured out months ago how you were going to handle the bus crash, I've been dying to read it. Will keep an eye out!
