If I wasn't a crappy beta I would totally try to help, but experience has told me I do not do so well at it. Pointing out things I like about a chapter, sure, but getting into grammar and all that, no thanks. I'll just enjoy the end product. Also, this was great and I can't wait until I see how things go next chapter with all the events going on and what you plan to do with the war.(Personally I'm a stormcloak, but I'll be reading this regardless of such an issue as which way you plan to take it.)

Okay, I've delayed giving my two cents about this fic for long enough. Look, while I admit to siding with the empire on the civil war, I can see things from they stormcloaks point of view and sympathize with them. With that said, I REALLY think you're not portraying the sides fairly. the Stormcloaks seem to be portrayed in a much more positive light than the Empire. Please try and portray the sides more fairly. I fully acknowledge that the empire is not perfect, but I honestly think it's the best chance skyrim's got against the empire. 2(Oh, and I'm a little peeved that you haven't even mentioned how Hadvar seemed genuinely distraught at the fact the you were being executed; he even tried to persuade his captain to let you off. (If he had tried anything else, he might have been charged with insubordination) I'm also a little pissed at the way you've given Talos a rather noticable ego (Seriously, anyone (at least if they were mortal) who has no problem with other people worshipping him might need to be taken down a peg).
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, and explain.

I hate it when jerks like that steal stories! To a writer a story- no matter the degree of skill with which it was made- is a shard of the authors soul! You put time and, effort and,work your very thoughts on the page. Your dreams, hopes, fears, opinions, emotions all infuse with every word. You have my sympathies for this offense upon your work and I am glad it has been resolved.

Hmm. So far, this looks pretty interesting. I like the idea. Your writing itself... the syntax is a bit rough, but the subject matter and pacing is very good. It's minor stuff; grammar conventions mostly, such as comma placement. A beta might be able to patch that up, if you had the time.
