Still loving every second of this fic :)
I'd been wondering about his son for a while now. Prejudice, huh? Sounds awesome! And at a guess I'd say his skill/thingy would be speed, though I forget which set you're using so I'm just gonna warn you that Brotherhood Sloth already has speed. But hey, who cares?! I hope Max beats up Dylan a bit more, since the transmutation was his idea (and I just don't like Dylan but who gives a **)

I love the appearance of Homunculus!Fang, and how you treated Max's brief unconsciousness. Also, Ling. Ling is neat. I hope Max runs into RanFan at some point, but the way it is now I think you're leaning more towards Max locating another Flock member. Perhaps Angel and the Soul!Gazzy you hinted at in the very beginning?
Whatever your angle is, I hope it comes soon!

First things first, have I mentioned yet how spot-on your characterization of Nudge is? Her chattering and just endless spew of thoughts is done perfectly. Also, the first time Max mentioned getting close to people and them getting hurt because of it, I knew this was coming. The chapter title, too, was almost like a warning. Why does foresight not make it easier?

I actually shook the computer screen when Nudge said she wanted to stay and finish. I shook the screen and yelled at her to say she was tired and take Hughes home before everything went wrong. But then when she ran out it all just... And then...
/sobs moar
And now it'll be even harder for Maria to prove her innocence, because Nudge is another eyewitness.

Nudge is going to tell Max that Hughes is dead. Max is staying with Winry right now, if I'm not mistaken. Winry will know ahead of time that Hughes is dead. Because Winry knows, Ed and Al will know.

Max is right to trust the Hughes family, and Maes is perfectly in character.
I especially enjoyed the bit where she mentions that getting close to normal people usually ends in bad things happening to them. And Maes dies before Winry goes to Central again, which will be when Max goes to Central again, so...
I'm glad you're updating regularly. This is the only story I'm following that I can count on updates coming with some measure of frequency.
I also love Max's 'flight' joke. Usually when authors point out a play on words it comes off as desperate or just plain bad, but for Max it seems in character somehow.
I hope Max finds Iggy again soon. And I'm really looking forward to what happened to Angel and Gazzy. Oh, Dylan too.

I won't argue with you that Iggy is the tallest, in fact it's canon. But if Max is searching for her Flock, she wouldn't be anywhere even near the vicinity of calm when she does find one.

My heart leapt into my throat. "Nudge!" I tried to rush towards her to check for injuries, but stumbled on my automail leg.
Yadda yadda yadda.
Something like that, you know?
Max rarely cried at the start of the series, but I think since this is set ambiguously post-Fang/in Fang, she'd be crying tears of relief that at least one of her babies is okay.
Whoops. Long mini-rant. Sorry bout that.
I love the rest of it, though. You've done a very good job keeping your fic parallel to canon, and I especially like how Nudge is with Danny and Maria. I presume that will be explained next chapter?
