Poor Maeglin, loyalties to his two parents and eventually straying just like his father. The last line held so much determination in it, a properly fitting ending to this small story.

I can really imagine Aredhel, who hates to be bound down, finding pride in her son when he decides to be free. This story captured that quite nicely.

That was a pithy and well-written little drabble, and I liked it a lot! I especially liked this line, because of the irony it presents when considered alongside Eöl's words in Gondolin: "I deemed he was no longer of the House of Eöl." Good work!
