A great story!

Your stories are so under appreciated my friend.

The amount of effort you put into each chapter, each character and backstory is incredible. And so I shall read the rest have all you have to offer whilst I recover from surgery :)

Who knows, I might actually finish them all by the time I'm healed up :)

Peace my friend :D

Amazing Poem.

So, I finished by the end of the day. Yay for personal goals. Anyways.

Overall, this is a very excellent fic. Tons of emotion, nice characterizations as well as minor characters, vivid details, action-packed confrontations, bad guys to hate, etc.

I was never one for oc's, but I've already talked about how I liked Scrivener from the start. You went on about the romance aspect rather repetitively. It's to be expected from a newly-married couple, though. I guess it's personal preference just to come out and say I thought it was overdone. It is justified if you look at it through a different perspective, though. Not used to all the kisses and the embraces and the heavily implied polygamy and I could go on and on. Yeah.

The background characters were awesome as hell and they served to make the story much more enjoyable. Folks like Aleksandr the manly minotaur, genius couples like Ross and Cowlick... and of course Discombobulation was certainly a treat with the countless references to games, movies, television, etc. Giving Pinkie Pie's other half an existence on the outside was amazing. The way you brought about the death of Pinkie Pie and the acceptance of Pinkamena was incredible, /especially/ with the diary entries as well as just Pinkamena offering her words. I thought that aspect was written with perfection.

Ending seemed awfully questionable; did everything just go back to normal with a few slight changes? Maybe it's just me, though. And maybe all my questions will be answered once I get to the next piece.

Overall, this was a fantastic read. I earnestly look forward to get to "Metempsychosis". You put a shit-ton of effort into your stories; I have to say you're among the best MLP authors I've seen.

Keep up the stunning work, BlackRoseRaven.

Lo and behold: Fluttershy's dead and gone, too. Like I said previous review, though, I'm not surprised. Jimmies remain unrustled, as some meme-freaks would say if that meme hasn't gone out like a light yet. Or get pushed off a cliff. Yeah. Couldn't bother to say something worth saying about the previous chapters.

Ahem. "Finding Nemo" reference? (Also saw the Mario reference.) Even in what's surely going to end in total disaster, Discombobulation serves to detract from the lame, sad stuff... I dunno. I'm out of it currently. Focused on finishing this story by the end of the day 'cause of a trip I'll be taking soon. Blah. Terminator and Elton John. Clopfics. Yeah. The end is certainly drawing near.

They're all gonna die and they're singing for the hell of it. Go figure.

Didn't really have much of anything to say regarding the previous chapter. I know you know how odd I feel about the whole relationship between Scrivener, Luna and Twilight. Twilight offering to go through pregnancy for them? Yeah, pretty odd. (Of course, I don't really like polygamous relationships at all, so.) Take that all as you will. Moving on as per usual.

"We do not die until after the battle, when the commander tells us we may rest." Quite liked that quote from Aleksandr. Definitely fitting as hell for those warriors.

So Tyrant Wyrms aren't extinct, huh? Pretty insane.

...Yeah. I braced myself for more deaths. Reading this, I know plenty of bronies would say it's now 20 percent less cool with the death of Rainbow. Ah well.

Only gets worse before it gets better (if that's even possible). Doubtful.

That's quite a start of a chapter. Waking up to Pinkamena... Needless to say, Scrivener's little "hi" in response was pretty funny. What's worse is how Bob sounded like some evangelical Christian. Automatically biased against them, anyway.

"Five in the morning. What's to do around here? What can we set on fire?" Pinkamena's got the right idea here!

Cowlick's got a good question about how "backwards-ass" Scrivener's hometown is. Sounds an awful lot like a... certain political party where I live, unfortunately. Quite liked how Luna pretty much announced at the coffee shop that she wouldn't hesitate to kick anyone's ass, by the way.

But yay for Scrivener kicking Bramblethorn's ass. More yays for Luna implying pony consumption to Caprice. Very lovely.

Only thing I can say about the third interlude of this fic is it was pretty heart-wrenching. Not really recommended for the weak at heart, am I right? Guess I'm used to this kinda stuff. Really loved it a lot, though.

But yeah. Scrivener's hometown? Can't say much about it other than it's awful to the two-thousandth power. Or something like that. Seems the only decent one there is Isehorse.

Quite liked seeing the act of kindness Scrivener and Luna brought to Pinkamena as well as seeing Pinkie Pie's Pale form radiating as much warmth and happiness as she did all her life. Pretty touching.

Damn it all. And Ross is brought back into the lame cult of lameness? That's rather... well, lame. I did see that coming since he was among the missing from the previous attack from Ignominious and co. Cowlick wouldn't be happy, now would she?

Scarlet Sage seemed to save everyone when she might've been able to save herself before this nonsense... Still, though, liked how she made her captor's head pretty much explode. Tell me I'm not the only one who wants a kid who can do that on command.

Little bit too much information about Cowlick that Ross recalled. Made me laugh, at least.

Sure what's to come will be interesting seeing Scrivener's family; I know I'll grow to hate more characters and brace myself for the worst.

Thanks for being a champ dealing with what feedback I leave. Hope you don't take my previous review in such a hard way, but a part of me is sure you won't.

Glad you have confirmed my suspicions with Ross [almost] Tom Cullen. You, my friend, have a great taste in authors (and the characters within their works). Anyways, yeah. Moving on.

But seeing Pinkamena's take on Scrivener and Luna's relationship was well-characterized for... well, her. I think she definitely proved a point, even if that might be hard for some folks to accept. And she has the hobby I would least expect from someone like her as well as finding the most opportune time to sing a song...

And now I'm what'ing hard. I knew this story would turn out sour... but now I'm thinking blatant grimdark seeing the death of Pinkie Pie. I'm sure you got a lot and I mean a lot of folks pissed off. Those who have read your fics, at least. A part of me does hate you for this, and I'm thinking this is just the start of favorites getting killed off. But all in all it's fic. Stuff like this is ridiculously far from canon, which I'm thankful for.

I guess I'll take this and every other death with a grain of salt. More than a grain of salt, though. Maybe I'll drink while reading further.

At least it looks like Ignominious will no longer be a threat. Luna and co just need to fetch back Scarlet Sage.

Pff. Way for folks to demote a police force pony for saying something as harmless as his approval for more police. Pretty lame stuff.

Some Stampede, huh? Liking the tactics that Luna's employing, though. Obviously worked well. Very well at that.

And yet another "unexpected" arrival of that damn Ignominious. Finally seeing Discombobulation do a hell of a lot more than offer cryptic words? That's pretty awesome. Not sure if he'd be such a fantastic babysitter, but that at least got a smirk from me. You may have even gotten a few Spike/Rarity diehard fans happy with the kiss.

Oh goodness. Totally got me with Discombobulation. Freaking snowglobe! And adding insult to injury with "This is Equestria!" Damn it all... That was amazing.

Man. As much as I want to avoid using such a certain word, this chapter was epic.

Never expected to see ponies like Fluttershy and Rarity help someone like Cowlick with something, but it makes sense in a way. Besides, Cowlick would accept the help she could get at this time, whether it's aid from someone specialized in engineering stuff or not.

Sipping blood. Yummy. That's a great way to raise a child, huh? Whatever. It's Scarlet Sage's rather unusual talent getting put to use. Rather odd but fascinating memory/library scene, too.

And d'aww at the whole Luna and Scrivener being Scarlet Sage's parents. Woo.

Maybe it took a while for me to notice, but you really, really abuse "[smiled] despite him/herself" as well as commas. I know what crit I may have to offer is totally moot here, but just watch for run-ons when you write. That's the only criticism I really have for you, though, and it's really insignificant at best.

(Think I already talked about run-ons a long time ago, but mentioning it again just because I can. And it makes this review longer and therefore lovelier.)

Yay for more Cowlick and Ross, though! They're both awfully useful... just in different ways. But yeah. Cowlick and Ross. Always like seeing them.

Lame review is lame as usual.

It's about time for Champion Luna and the Starlit Knights to be so appreciated. Hosston sounds nice and not only for the hospitality. The mayor is pretty awesome for his top hat and monocle. I have a fondness for such things, to be honest, so.

Something about Aleksandr's reaction to the group's warm welcome spoke volumes to me, by the way. Maybe it's just because neither he or his kin knew such wide appreciation. You made that little detail minor, but I think it gave a lot more. Quite liked it, yes.

As much as Rainbow Dash may have enjoyed such a celebration, it was /really/ unnecessary. Made a double-take at Luna slamming the classy mayor like that. Then laughed heartily. And now the mayor is testing. Well, my appreciation for his classiness lasted long.

I was surprised to see a fight between Ignominious and Luna and Scrivener so soon, but I enjoyed it all the same. Plenty and plenty more of kickassery.
