This seems like a pretty good start to a fic :) And you've clearly done your research (I'm a Classical studies major myself, I've read pretty much everything at one time or another). The only thing I would say is that Zeus was, according to the Homeric Hymn to Demeter, in on the whole thing. Hades and Zeus set it up without telling Demeter, and Hecate and Helios were the ones that told her the truth, which is when Demeter went off the deep end with the snow and ice until Zeus caved and told Hades to give her back. No food for the humans means no sacrifices for the gods. :)
Although I like how you recognise that there is a lot of debate on how Persephone felt about the whole thing. A lot of people thought that Persephone actually liked/loved Hades, or at least being away from her overbearing mother :). But I totally get taking liberties for the sake of the story :)

David/Kurt is not usually my pairing but when I saw it was a mythology AU I had to see. (Mythology nerd here.) And I love the story, it's very sweet and I like the ending, the story felt full and complete which I love but is very hard to find. Great job.
