I am most gratified, amused, and pleased by this oneshot. The undercurrent of the flight deck mutiny - always talked about but never quite actually seen - was a very nice touch.
Given, I kinda thought that Matt would maybe once in a while ask Jim about his wife, trying to get a bit more intimate in a scared uncertain sort of way. But you handled both of them quite well.
Given that you have read Black Library entries by Chris Wraight, I wondered if you have read Reiksguard by Richard Williams. Great, wonderful stuff too.

Wait no...you can't leave it there not after mentioning a story about pudding and a squid alien. I must hear/read this one...especially if it's Jimmy getting molested by said squid alien's tenticals while trying to have his dessert pudding...or was the pudding used for something else? An aid to help the molesting along perhaps? lol Sorry my pervert mind is really in the gutter about this one. Especially if Jimmy enjoyed his time with squidy in-spite many protests of no at first. Sorry I got a thing for slightly sexually abused Jimmy, or infested Jimmy stories if not both at same time. There just aren't that many of those out there that I've been able to find.
On another note nice story, hope you write some more. Though this story might help explain why Mira likes Jim so much, since she's secretly hoping to catch Jim and her "husband" Matt going at it at some point. :)

I laughed my ass off, and with the way some of the dialog in game and in the books are I could see most (well ok some) of it happening.
