Its a hard lesson for parents to learn that saying no is actually good for your children. Giving them everything does not teach them what real life is like. Material things can not replace lessons of values, morals, learning to deal with dissappointment and failure. Resilence is an important life skill, learning to use a credit card you never have to foot the bill for yourself is not.

They didn't let Kate's bark scare them, on the contrary, they got ready to fight and they did it more than well.
Plans had to change, but that's life and they did good fighting back.

I think I might skip looking for the first reference and go to the other two.
It was a great birthday, especially for how confident Mag has become. That's the best part of it. Not that anything else wasn't great.

It was very different to what Edward had imagined, and it was a huge surprise. Edward is a good guy and wants the best for Mag, as long as she doesn't get hurt. She'll just have more grandparents, any kid has to love that.
