I LOVE YOU TOO CADE!
I knew he was going to still accept her despite her past. I could totally see it coming. But who cares, it's cute!
Oh no, I just know something awful is going to happen to him. And he's going to die and Gothel will be left with no one AGAIN! I can't take this. :'(
This is my favorite chapter by far. (Do I say that a lot? I'm sorry if I do.) But now she's going back to her old, nice personality...
(And then Cade dies and she becomes the evilest person in the world. I just know it!)

You fast updater. You make me feel bad for not updating as quickly as you. Oh well. Thanks for the guilt. XD
This chapter...wow...I LIKE Gothel's thoughts. I'm actually okay with semi-uneventful chapters as long as they keep my interest, and this one really kept my interest. Gothel is FASCINATING. I really like her, despite her being an almost-murderer and extremely disturbed and all.
CADE. I love him already. More Cade, please?
Okay, so that's all. No violence is nice once in a while. Eagerly anticipating the next update, as always!

This is AWESOME. I'm seeing more ties to the movie, which is nice. I can also really picture Neiva as Mother Gothel. At first, she was almost a total opposite, but the transition to the way she is now was very believable.
The Snuggly Duckling took a cute scene from a Disney movie and turn it into something real, dark, and scary, which I think is awesome, by the way. The end...was shocking, but at the same time, I could see it happening. So Neiva got her revenge. I wonder if she will stop there...

AWWWWWW. This was great. Sad, but great. I'm guessing this is a moment of transformation for Neiva. I can't wait to see how she changes in the next chapters! Also, I love how you made Alia not good and not bad...I hate it when writers make characters black-and-white like that, but you didn't.
Short review, but I really can't think of any criticism. So there you go. :)

So THAT'S how she knew the song! I always just thought that she saw a flower, thought "I'm going to sing to this flower!" and kept making up random songs until she finally stumbled upon the right words and tune. But...I guess this makes more sense, haha.
Okay, considering that I was re-reading The Hunger Games today, this reminded me so much of Rue's death. Neiva finding Alora just in time to get stabbed with a spear, and then singing to her as she dies...IT'S SO SAD! *sob* But actually, I thought this scene was written much better than it was in The Hunger Games, so good job. You have won my respect. (Actually, you already had my respect, but now you get more respect.)
Anyways, aside from making THG comparisons, I'm really seeing the *old* M. Gothel's personality shine through...so sly and sarcastic and...I don't know, I always thought she was very likeable until she stabbed Flynn. *sobs again* Well, now that I think of it, maybe in some twisted way when she stabbed him, she was avenging her sister's death. And she hated him because he was a thief...I should go into psychology. Heh heh. Wow, that really makes total sense.
Write more! Please!
P.S. I forgive you for the late update. Forgive me for the late review. (The whole Lent thing, and waiting for Sundays)

Wow, these last two chapters show talent that the first chapter didn't. I want to know more about Neiva, but I guess that's the point of the rest of the story, so I won't annoy you too much. :)
I always thought that she was called "Mother Gothel" because she was Rapunzel's "mother," but apparently not. That's an interesting twist on it; I like it.
P.S. Thank you for reading/reviewing my stories!

I love it! I'm almost certain this is Gothel, but I could be totally wrong. :) So... her name is Neiva. That's a pretty name.
I'm pretty sure Tangled is unofficially set in the 1700s or something, and since Gothel is centuries old in the movie, this would be set, like, in the 1500s or something, so I don't know if you want to be picky with historical stuff (dialogue, clothes, etc.). Either way, I don't really care because this is so good.
Keep writing so I can keep reading! :)

gothel was sort of explained but there really wasn't a backstory (and i'm kinda wondering why there should be) but i think it's an interesting concept and i'm curious to find out where this is going...
