Oh Madge :( I just feel so bad for her. They did a lot just to keep her alive and now I'm sure all she wants is to go to sleep for a few years and not have to come out ever again. I'm really glad that Gale is at least playing along for the cameras, and I know that he'll be sweet to her... he might be the only person that will be able to help her through this in the end, which is hard considering how uncooperative Gale can be at times.

Poor dear... and Katniss... she can't be liking any of this and it's hard to see how much she blames herself for. I didn't even realize it in the books, but she really takes everything to heart so much more than is healthy for her. It's very endearing, but certainly not good for her.

Cinna makes me smile. He just knows what they need from him and how much, no matter the situation. :) And Haymitch needs a break. Badly.

In would never abandon you! Haha I totally understand real life taking over. I'm starting my first job on Sunday and I don't know when I'm gonna have time to do anything when I start! Haha

This chapter was great even though it was Katniss POV and I don't particularly like her ; )

I'm excited to see what you'll do with Madge gale (and the little Everlark bun!) and I love the baby names by the way :D I gotta say I lean more toward Serafina tho

What an amazingly wonderful surprise to see your update right after a midterm! I'm so happy you broke through your writer's block and in no way, shape, or form is this chapter sub-par.

I've said it before, but I really like your take on the Peeta-Katniss dynamic in the way that you depict them as having been forced into political and domestic things way over their head, and while having accepted their situation and one another, both are still struggling in many ways to make things work. You get the sense beautifully that Katniss, in particular, with all her pride is just bristling against the fate imposed on her by the Capitol; something which tends to creep into her relationship with Peeta no matter how much she may appreciate him. And Peeta, well, he's the one trying to hold everything together with charm and a smile. That's bound to tiring sometimes.

I am intrigued by what you have planned for Madge. She is definitely not doing well and I'm wondering what, or who (if anything) will pull her out of her funk (understatement of the century). Will it be Gale, or Haymitch or her own determination? Whatever happens, she's still my favorite version of Madge anywhere!

Anyway, just thought I'd let you know how greatful I am that you updated (very greatful) and how much I've missed this story (a lot lot lot). I hope your new home is treating you well and life is settling down in general!
