That was one of the better discussions Snape has had with Harry regarding his reasons for who and what he is. I still believe him to be scum, but I can understand him, at least a little. However, he will never get my sympathy, as sympathy is a form of agreement, and I could not disagree more with the life choices he has made.

Damn. Fawkes should have let the bastard die. Also, can Tonks not cast a shield? Lastly, is Snape's shield so strong it can last through any number of spells? I guess what I am saying is that the 'duel' wasn't the best. But it do a great job of setting up a huge guilt trip for Harry, which is what I suspect you was your goal...

Dumbles is some piece of work. After Snape, he is the HP character I like the least. So much so, that I struggle to like him even when he is written sympathetically as a wholly good character. The man's a douchebag. If he wants to sacrifice someone, he should put up a cross, buy some nails and pay someone to nail him to it. Just don't do it to someone else...

That was great. Harry's paper was wonderful. And I really liked how uncertain Luna was when she finally had time to realize that she was risking her friendships as well by being Harry's GF.
