Nice job I've actually kind of been looking for this curtain Yuri pairing and think it really works I mean Mao's clearly a lesbian and henata's... well I don't know...bi?
Anyway I think this pairing really works with both characters.

This reminds me of how I feel about my crush. I have feelings for them, but they say they don't for me. I just expect that one day, they will say the same three words back. I loved this story. It was so cute.

Awww, so sweet! Nicely uses Mao's camera-happiness as a main point, and even shows up as a sidelight of that aspect to her character. She's cute and endearing, and I like how Hinata can be sincere in her feelings at the end instead of simply falling into Mao's arms for the "easy" answer, and can instead look towards the future; I thought that actually worked very well, despite your doubts. Of course, the line referencing "taking Amano and Gasai to have drinks when we went to check out that crime scene" adds a significant poignancy to that future-looking ending, given that it cements this story as taking place in World 2 instead of World 3. Kind of a Fridge Tearjerker, you might say...

Posting as anon because FF.net is being laaaaame.
This is really cute and I love the interaction between the two, particularly over the phone and at the drink machine. I actually remember playing a game like this, except there wasn't a nice surprise like there was in the story. I for one thought that the ending was perfect. ^_^

So. Cute. :D Really liked this story. The characterization is perfect and the ending is sweet. It fits that Hinata would feel it but not be able to say "I love you" back right at this moment. We readers know that she feels it though, and that's enough to make this story good. Not to mention the plot itself is so adorable omg... Such a cute idea for a romantic date that's still tricky enough to get Hinata to go on it XDD. We know Mao's a bit mischievous anyway hehe. Great work overall! So nice to read!
