Oh my goodness, I never laughed so hard reading a Silmarillion fanfic - though I only begun to read the Edge of Darkness series.
(I think you answered with... deadly... accuracy the extent of Morgoth's copying humanoid forms. Morgoth, next time, think of 'balls of steel' as a no metaphor...)

'For once, he really wanted to kill a woman.
Seriously, he didn't even want to kill Niënor or Lúthien, but Morwen was seriously walking the risky line here.
He watched sullenly as Ecthelion Lord of the Fountain made his way over to the daughter of the woman that he would very much like to strangle.'
I love that part so much. :)
But he did deserve it so much. I hope Morwen got a round of applause.
